Chapter 11 - Baby Come Back

Part 1.

The next morning Hans’s family was already by his bedside. The attending doctor came and updates Tan Sri of Hans progress. He assured that Hans is doing well and responding to the medication. He needs plenty of rest and by the looks of it they will be moving Hans into a private room.

“Hana, ……”, Hans looked at Hana and Hana looked away. She cannot find words to tell Hans what happened to Tika. She wiped her tears.

“Hana……look at me…”, rayu Hans. Hana tak sanggup tengok abangnya merayu. Dia menghampiri Hans dan memegang tangan Hans.

“Abang,  Hana….tak tahu where she is, abang. Based on the eye witness yang made the police report he saw Kak Tika laying in a car….a Porsche. I am sorry abang.”, Hana felt guilty. Hana felt sad to see how fragile her brother was.....

“Hans darling, don’t think too much. You need to rest. Once you recover we will look for your friend”, pujuk Puan Sri.

“Yes abang, don’t worry. Dad is meeting a few police officers and they are investigating the whereabout of Ghazz.”, Hana pula cuba memberi abangnya semangat.

Hans termenung and Hana saw tears rolled at the end of his eyes. He clentched his fist as though he is trying to control his anger.  

Two hours later......

Hans was moved into a private wing also for security reasons. Upon Tan Sri’s request Hans agreed as they are still not sure of Ghazz whereabout. Police considered him as armed and dangerous. 

It has been two weeks since the incident and Hans has been spending time with his physio therapist. His arm is getting stronger and the wound is healing well. It is just a matter of time before he can be discharged from the hospital.

Hans doesn't speak much these day and kept things to himself.

"Abang, you have been very quiet lately. Do you wanna talk about it. I’m listening.". Hans memandang tajam pada Hana.

"Abang, why are you staring at me like that?", Hana asked.

"I am sorry….Tika used to say those same words when we drove down from Casabrina. For a moment it was like dejavu. Terasa macam she's here...." Hans bersuara.

Hana menghampiri abangnya, "I missed the old you, abang." and hugged him. Hans membalas pelukan Hana and said, “So do I Hana, I will in time. I just wanna get Tika back….Each moment I try not to imagine where Ghazz is holding her up and what is he doing to her. I know now what he is capable off. Damn you Ghazz. One day when I get my hands on him, I am just going to shred him into pieces….."

"No Hans! You are not to touch him. Let the police do their job." Tan Sri heard the whole  conversation between Hans and Hana. Information from the police they are no longer in Malaysia…".

Hans berpaling ke arah ayahnya, "What? Where are they now? Wow Ghazz acting as though he is a Mafioso." Hans membuat telahan sendiri.

"Our police are working with the Interpol. They ware traces that they left Malaysia using a private airplane from Singapore heading Eastern Europe. So far tu saja yang the police know. Their car was spotted at the Johor-Singapore boarder. They are still working on the exact destination the plane landed. Hans, don’t worry we will get your friend back…" belum habis ayahnya bercakap....Hans mencelah,

"It’s Tika dad, Atikah….the woman I am supposed to marry…!" Hans leaned against the glass window. Fikirannya melayang lagi.

"I understand you are angry and upset Hans….ease your tone when you talk with me. You are not going to get her back by acting this way." tambah Tan Sri.

"I’m sorry dad,….I just want her back safe." Hans said.

"She will….by the way we have informed Tika’s family and you should meet them. They are also in a difficult situation. Explained to them about your relationship with Atikah. From what I understood Ghazz called off the engagement and you have the right to marry her.  I have already send Razali to pick her mother and sister to our house. You go pack and put on something descent. I have arranged that you be discharged today. I don’t want the nurses here to see your tight muscles in display. The nurses here are getting used by your presence and will definitely missed those.....what do you call them.....six packs...?"..kata Tan Sri sambil ketawa.

"Thanks dad. I appreciate all what you have done. You're right. Don’t want to keep their hopes up. Both father and son bergurau and hugged. Hana walked over to them and joined their group hug.

They left the hospital after picking up Hans medication and thanked all the nurses and doctors on the 3rd floor.

Part 2.

“Terima Kasih banyak banyak kerana sudi datang ke rumah kami. Bagi pihak keluarga saya,  saya ingin meminta maaf atas semua kejadian yang berlaku.” kata Puan Sri Kate.

“Ialah, kami pun tak minta perkara ni berlaku. Harapan kami agar Tika dapat kembali dengan selamat.”kata Puan Munirah, ibu Atikah.

"Sila minum dulu. Sikit lagi sampailah Hans dan bapanya tu. He has already been discharged from the hospital. Puan pernah jumpa Hans sebelum ni?", jelas Puan Sri.

"No. Belum lagi sebab kami pun tak tahu yang Tika ada kawan lelaki lain selain Ghazz. But we did notice she was always happy lately. Adik dia ada cuba bertanya tapi Tika is Tika,….dia secretive sikit." cerita Puan Munirah.

Sejurus kemudian Hans tiba dan terus bersalaman dengan tetamu. Puan Sri memperkenalkan Hans kepada keluarga Tika, "Hans this is Tika’s mother, Puan Munirah. That’s her sister and brother in-law."

Hans mengambil tempat duduk di sebelah ibu Tika, “Puan Munirah, saya sangat kesal dengan kejadian tempohari. Tika satu-satunya penyambung nyawa saya. Saya berjanji akan pastikan Tika pulang dengan selamat."

 "Terima kasih Hans, aunty pun tak sangka Ghazz bertindak kasar dan sanggup menculik Tika. Hans tahu mereka di mana?"tanya Puan Munirah.

Hans menjawab,  Tak pasti tapi menurut Interpol mereka berada di Eastern Europe."

"Ya Allah, why did he take her far away? Saya kesal Ghazz bertindak sedemikian. Tak sangka Ghazz begitu irrational. Semua ni berpunca dari masalah harta. Bila Walid, bapa Ghazz dapat tahu yang Ghazz telah memutuskan pertunangan dengan Atika, he was so infuriated. He said that Ghazz will not get a single cent from the family fortune ....", Puan Munirah was shocked by Ghazz's action and explained the reason behind the kidnaping incident.

"Sebab itu janji Ghazz, kalau dia tak dapat Tika no one else can have her….", Hans memaklumkan kepada semua.

Puan Munirah was sobbing and Hans consoled her,"Don't worry aunty, Hans sendiri akan mencari Tika…."

"Cool Hans,….You just recovered from the gun shot wound. Take it easy. Lets wait for more details from the police. Then we see how it goes.", Tan Sri bersuara.

"Tan Sri, Puan Sri….tolonglah get my daughter home safe. I also got in touch with my late husband's ex-colleagues in the police force. They are giving me their full cooperation especially from the Special Branch.Tika's father was a retire-Police Officer." tambah ibu Tika. 

"Yes, we will definitely  bring her back safe, insya Allah.", assured Tan Sri.
